Deforestation and Global Warming

Both deforestation and global warming are one of the most alarming dilemmas in majority of localities and entire world.  Aside from risking our natural environment, the distressing effects of these consequences may result to people’s continuous struggle to survive or even initiate the end of the entire mankind.

Brief Definition of Deforestation and Global Warming

Deforestation

Deforestation is the means to convert rain forest or any forest lands into a non-forest locations.  This activity is most preferable for the following purposes:

  • Urbanization

Some forest lands are intentionally cleared to give way for new commercial buildings, residences and other construction or building activities that would bring about tourism, shelter and business.

  • Industrialization

Building of roads, transportation supports, etc. may result to deforestation.

  • Agriculture and Cattle

Forest lands are cleared to provide sufficient areas for crop planting and livestock.

Global Warming

Global warming is a phenomenon that pertains to climate transformation that instigates a boost on the average temperature of the lower atmosphere.  These phenomenons arise via variety of causes; however, most are usually connected with people’s intrusion, in particular dispersing excessive amounts of greenhouse gases.

Water vapor, fluorinated gases, methane and carbon dioxide, are gases that performs like a greenhouse on the earth’s atmosphere.  These gases serves like a canopy that enables sun rays to enter the atmosphere, but prevents heat to divert back into space. As greenhouse gases increases, the planet’s atmosphere gets warmed to atypical temperatures that can cause many dilemmas including sudden rise of sea levels.

The Connection Between Deforestation and Global Warming

Deforestation and global warming are both interrelated. The reality that deforestation is one cause of the global warming problem is confirmed. Since trees are mostly composed carbon and functions like air cleaners to eradicate pollution and disperse clean air, the fact that rain forests are rampantly cleared could be the onset of the alarming global warming dilemma. Hence, constant deforestation would only make global warming much likely to happen.

Deforestation and Global Warming:  The Conclusion

The fate of the entire planet definitely depends with the entire people.  Knowing that deforestation will speed up global warming, the best thing to do initially is to prevent uncontrolled cutting trees and to hasten and broaden planting of trees.  We ought to make this planet livable for future generations; thus, deforestation and global warming must be given ardent attention otherwise, the Earth and all of us will become history.
